I’m a public policy and partnerships professional with experience working in the public and private sector. I help formulate and communicate policies on a range of socio-economic and technology topics, working together with community and industry stakeholders.

In the public sector, I worked for the Singapore Government, leading teams to help oversee the policy & strategies related to Infocomms & Media, Finance, as well as Culture & Community.  I have worked with government agencies, industry players and consumers, to help bring improvements and innovation to Singapore – digital high-definition TV, better use of government budgetary and physical resources like manpower, UNESCO World Heritage Site, free admissions to National Museums, to name a few.

At the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), a technical international organization, I was on the other end, representing the corporation at local and regional meetings, and engaging the global Internet community to understand ICANN and our work.  I helped build relationships with the many diverse stakeholders across the Asia Pacific region, including governments, tech companies, civil societies, technical organizations.  Working with our regional teams, we raised awareness of our services, advocated for participation in global Internet policies, in Internet governance, and managed collaborative projects related to cybersecurity and emerging technologies.

At the Integrated Health Information System (IHiS), I help with planning for national healthcare projects, including the national consumer platform HealthHub. I formulate and drive product strategy, develop business case for product and product enhancements. I work with government stakeholders and implementation teams comprising of project managers, business analysts and clinical subject matter experts in different areas, such as ensuring that our consumer digital platforms serve the healthcare needs of our end users in self service transactions, and access of records and content.

I graduated from Tohoku University, Japan, with a Bachelor and Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. I specialized in human-machine interaction and user interface design, and spent my academic years wondering how everyday things (and experiences) around me can be better designed. I still do now.
